P02.89. Low Energy Neurofeedback System (LENS) for stress, anxiety, and cognitive function: an exploratory study
نویسندگان
چکیده
Purpose Stress and anxiety are endemic problems in western societies and have negative effects on health, wellbeing and cognitive function. Low Energy Neurofeedback System (LENS) is a form of Neurofeedback (NFB) with promising clinical reports supporting its use in addressing these problems. However, research is needed, and this exploratory study was conducted to test compliance; evaluate an innovative blinding procedure and outcomemeasure inventories; provide data to calculate sample size and power; and collect preliminary evidence on efficacy of LENS for addressing stress, anxiety and cognitive function in medical students.

متن کاملScrutiny of brain signals variations in regions Cz, C3 and C4 under Local Exposure of Extremely Low Frequency and Weak pulsed Magnetic Field to promote Neurofeedback systems
Introduction: Researchers have long been interested in the effects of low intensity (less than 500 microtesla) and Extremely Low Frequency Magnetic Fields (ELF-MF, less than 300 Hz) on human’s brain activity. In this study, our purpose was to analyze the effect of local magnetic field pulses around brain regions Cz, C3, C4 on human electroencephalogram (EEG) and induction of resonance effect...

متن کاملfMRI neurofeedback facilitates anxiety regulation in females with spider phobia
BACKGROUND Spider phobics show an exaggerated fear response when encountering spiders. This fear response is aggravated by negative and irrational beliefs about the feared object. Cognitive reappraisal can target these beliefs, and therefore has a fear regulating effect. The presented study investigated if neurofeedback derived from functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) would facilitate ...
